DESCRIPTION
The Bachelor degree in Agricultural and Forestry Sciences and Technologies is the first step in the university education that is required to become a professional agronomist or a professional in forestry. During the training course, students learn the criteria underlying the scientific approaches to addressing major agricultural management issues (productivity, profitability, sustainability). This is achieved by acquiring a deep knowledge of the most modern technological applications and skills for the governance of these new tools in a frame of economic rationality and sustainability.
TRAINING OBJECTIVES
The course prepares the students to identify, understand and solve problems related to agricultural and forestry activities in the light of their coexistence with the economies of rural contexts, with special emphasis on the inner and mountain areas. The training course has therefore a multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary character. The subjects of the course of studies, besides providing a robust base of physical-mathematical and chemical-biological education, provide technical, scientific and economic knowledge and expertise needed to cope with the complexity of production systems such as the agricultural ones.
CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
The Bachelor degree in Agricultural and Forestry Sciences and Technologies is a mandatory prerequisite for the continuation of university studies (1 year-master programs of first level or 2 years-master programs of second level), enables the graduate to work as a Junior professional agronomist or a Junior professional in forestry and provides access to technical and administrative roles in private companies, public administration and governmental organizations.
