PHYSICAL CHEMISTRY LABORATORY

The research group carries out research and teaching activities in the field of Physical and General Chemistry.

Research activities are focused on:

Study of colloidal systems for food applications. Study of antioxidants role in olive oil. Supramolecular design for active edible coatings and films. Food-grade nanoemulsion for encapsulation and delivery of natural phenols. Study of nano-devices” for biomedical and food applications; Study of cleaning of olive mill wastewaters by visible light-activated titanium dioxide. Composites formulation for the removal of chromium from water. Method for determining the activation energy distribution function of complex reactions by sieving and Thermogravimetric measurements. Study of the role of extraction solvents and emulsifier during the Ultrasound-assisted emulsification microextraction technique.
